Clayton State’s Lukic Named NSCAA All-American
December 13, 2010
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Clayton State’s Igor Lukic has been named an All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Lukic was named a First-Team All-American, the 17th in the history of the Peach Belt Conference.
Lukic becomes the conference’s first First-Team All-American (NSCAA) since Lander’s Jamie Ramm in 2007 and the first from Clayton State since Josh Greiner in 2000. A senior from Sabac, Serbia, Lukic was also a First-Team All-Peach Belt Conference choice.
He was one of the anchors to a stellar Laker defense that allowed only 19 goals this season with a 0.82 goals-against average and a Peach Belt-leading 11 shutouts. He scored two goals on the season and was a two-time PBC Defensive Player of the Week.
Lukic is one of only two NSCAA All-Americans from the Southeast Region. The complete team is listed below.
