Marti Bartis Earns Daktronics Second-Team All-American Honors for Clayton State
December 4, 2014

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – After notching All-Southeast Region First-Team honors, junior midfielder Maria Marti Bartis (Girona, Spain) has been named a Daktronics Second-Team All-American following one of the best seasons in program history.

"We are proud to have Maria make All-American," said head coach Gareth O'Sullivan. "She has tremendous ability and we look forward to another great season in 2015."

Marti Bartis is one of just 52 players to earn All-American honors nationwide. This season she finished 16th in the nation in total goals, 18th in goals per game and 19th in points per game. She finished the year with 15 goals and seven assists for a team-high 37 points while driving home four game-winning goals. She was also named All-Peach Belt Conference Second-Team following the regular season.

She is one of just three players from a Peach Belt Conference school to be named to one of the four teams. She joins Cicely Taliaferro of North Georgia, a First-Team selection, and Third-Team choice Casey Davis of Columbus State.

It is the first time that Marti Bartis has been named to the Daktronics All-American Team
