Clayton State Sports Information Department

Effective January 13th, 2024, the Clayton State University Department of Sports Information has constructed and will enforce a new Media Credential Policy.  The new policy is as follows …

  • Members of the media, including but not limited to photographers and videographers, must give at least 48 hours' notice if they plan to cover any Clayton State University Athletic event.  This will ensure that media individuals are approved and placed on the pass list in an efficient manner in plenty of time. Any exceptions will be approved, finalized, and communicated by the Assistant AD of Communication.
  • Students at Clayton State University desiring to serve as members of the media shall not be placed on the pass list but must still give 48 hours' notice of attending the game.  This does not include Sports Information interns assisting with communication or the streaming services.
  • Opposing teams are allowed, no more than two other members of the media, not including the Sports Information Director.  The visiting party may include media personnel pertaining to visiting radio, photography, and videography. These individuals must also give 48 hours' notice and must be placed on a pass list to be granted entry. Any exceptions will be made and those are up to the discretion of the approved, finalized, and communicated by the Assistant AD of Communication.
  • Visiting Sport Information Directors must give 48 hours' advance notice if they are planning on attending a game.
  • Absolutely no cheering or showing any bias toward any team will occur while at the table.  Failure to do so will result in loss of credential for that specific game and you will be asked to vacate your spot at the table.
  • All Credentials must be picked up before entry into the game.
  • All interview requests for either players, coaches, or members of the Clayton State administration must be approved and coordinated with the Assistant AD-Communications prior to the interview.
  • Men's and Women's Basketball practices are closed off to the media.  However, if you would like to attend a practice you must give 24 hours' notice and clearance from the head coach on the specific date on which you would like to attend.
