Men's Cross Country | November 5, 2022
BEECH ISLAND, S.C. – The Clayton State University cross country teams ran in the Peach Belt Conference Championships at Redcliffe Plantation on Saturday morning. Both the men's and women's teams placed sixth in the meet.
The men's team was led by Gabriel Oliveras. Oliveras, who placed 35
th, finished the championships with a time of 27:52. Following close behind was Camron Gaddis, who finished with a time of 28:09.4. Gaddis finished in 37
th place. Khayri Davis then followed behind in 51
st place with a time of 28:51.8.
Darryl Jefferson and Rakiem Barnes then crossed the finish line in 61
st and 62
nd, respectively. Terry Mitchner, Lance Little, and Nigel Collins rounded out the Laker finishers with 65
th, 57
th, and 70
th place finishes, respectively. The Lakers placed sixth with 170 points and Augusta won the meet.
On the women's side, Jada Warren led the Lakers as she placed 21
st with a final time of 19:51.6. Tanaeya Johnson and Ahlana Failey followed behind Warren racing to a 38
th and 39
th place finish, respectively. Johnson ran her 5k in 20:45.9 while Failey turned in a time of 21:03.4. JaBresha Palmer rounded out the Lakers in the top 50 as she raced to a 49
th place finish clocking a time of 22:06.1. The Lakers finished sixth in the meet with 158 points and Flagler won the meet.
