Men's Cross Country | October 3, 2025
FAIRBURN, Ga. – The Clayton State University men's cross country team competed in the Georgia Tech XC Invitational on Friday morning. The Lakers placed sixth as a team and placed successfully individually. Friday's race featured mostly DI schools in a loaded field.
The Lakers were led by
Camron Gaddis. Gaddis finished in 26
th place with a final time of 25Z:56.9, which is good for the 11
th fastest time in program history and a new PR. Gaddis was the highest DII individual in the race. Following behind in 40
th place is
James Morrow. Morrow continues to have a breakout season with a 59-second PR finishing with a time of 26:35.1. Morrow's time is also good for 22
nd all-time in program history.
Emanuel Dixon and
Mykell Strickland followed behind. Dixon, who finished in 51
st, clocked a final time of 27:07.5 while Strickland hit a new PR with a final time of 27:09.9. Mykell finished in 53
rd place. Rounding out the top five for the Lakers was
Dion Dial. Dial finished in 57
th with a time of 27:39.8, which is also a PR.
Rakiem Barnes,
Nehemiah Horton,
Abubakr Jallow,
Terry Mitchner,
Josh Soluade,
Brandon Nolen, and
Miles Johnson rounded out the Lakers in the race and helped the team finish sixth, ahead of DI Wofford and DII Carson-Newman and Emmanuel. Meet host Georgia Tech won the meet with 20 points.
