EMPORIA, Kan. – Clayton State University men's track & field jumper
Davonte Jackson was selected to represent Clayton State in the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships which takes place on May 21
st through the 23
rd from Emporia, Kansas.
Jackson becomes the first Laker since 2019 to be selected for the Championships. Davonte will compete in the long jump alongside some of the toughest competition in the nation. A native of Locust Grove, Ga., Jackson qualifies for his first Championships after finishing with a final mark of 7.49m at the Emory Spring Break Classic on March 21
st. That mark also set a new school record. Davonte joins a unit of 10 selections from the Peach Belt Conference (PBC).
Jackson will compete in the long jump on Thursday, May 21
st at 3:30 p.m. ET. Live streaming and live results information are forthcoming in the coming days.
