MORROW, Ga. – Former Clayton State University men's basketball player
Xavier Womack was signed to a professional basketball contract with the Armenia Super League A. The league announced his signing via their website on Friday.
Womack, in his only season with the Lakers, averaged 4.4 points a game and logged 13 minutes a game in 26 games. Additionally, Womack grabbed 89 rebounds, marked four games of double-digit scoring, and stole seven passes. The St. Louis, Mo. native notched a season-high 20 points and nine boards against Georgia College and State on February 19
th, 2021.
Before he attended Clayton State, Womack transferred from Pittsburg State and Johnson City Community College. At Johnson City CC, he was a second-team All-KJCC as a freshman. Womack graduated from Cardinal Ritter College Prep in 2017.
Womack is one of six former Clayton State men's basketball players that is on an active roster for a professional basketball team oversees. He joins
Ricardo Lynch ('20), Brandon Robinson ('11), Aubrey McRae ('19), Kyle Kincey ('20), and Justin Tuckson ('19) who play in Georgia, Argentina, Portugal, Armenia, and Sweden, respectively.
