Morrow, GA--- The Clayton State University Mens Basketball team suffered a 77-72 loss to Flagler College at home on Tuesday Evening.
 
The Lakers came out at the start of the game and were able to get the scoring started with a layup by Eddie Page. Both the Lakers and the Saints were able to trade baskets as the half went on. Midway through the first half, both teams were tied at 15. As the half continued, the baskets continued to go back and forth as the Lakers saw themselves down by 2 going into the half. The Lakers saw scoring in the half by Page, DJ Wright, Joe Thomas, Andre Young, Justin Evans, and Jojo Bell.

Halftime: Flagler 39, Clayton State 37

Coming out in the second half, the Lakers struggled to get scoring going but a jumper by DJ Wright got the scoring going for the Lakers in the second half. It was the Saints that saw a 5 point lead going into the first timeout. The Saints were able to maintain a comfortable lead as the half went on but that did not stop the Lakers from continuing to compete. The Lakers were able to get to the free throw line while also playing aggressively on offense getting layups to go in. After a pull up jumper by Andre Young, the Lakers were down by 4 with 1:30 left to go in the game. Ultimately, it was the Saints that held off the comeback by the Lakers which resulted in a loss for the Lakers.

Final Score: Flagler 77, Clayton State 72
