Aiken, SC--- The Clayton State University Men's basketball team traveled to Aiken, SC for a matchup with the Pacers. The Lakers ultimately fell short to the Pacers 90-79.
The Pacers were able to get the first basket of the game but the Lakers were quick to respond with a layup of their own.
Eddie Page got the scoring going for the Lakers with a tip in layup in the paint. The Lakers were able to follow that basket with a three pointers made by
Joey Thomas and
DJ Wright to take their first lead of the game. The Lakers continued with tough defensive rebounds that resulted in three point made baskets that saw the Lakers with an 11-4 lead going into the first timeout. As the half went on, the Lakers were able to get scoring going from all levels of the floor but with the Pacers forcing turnovers and capitalizing off those turnovers with made shots of their own saw a small lead for the Lakers going into the half.

Coming out in the second half, it was the Lakers with the first basket of the half.
Jojo Bell got the scoring going in the second half with an and-1 in the paint. The Lakers were able to play tough defense forcing turnovers and getting made baskets on the offensive side from Page, Wright, Bell, and
Andre Young that saw a 13 point lead going into the first timeout for the Lakers. As the half went on, it was the Pacers that were able to cut into the Lakers lead which led to the Lakers falling to the Pacers by 11.
