CLEVELAND – The Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) announced on Wednesday the recipients for the 2025-26 D2ADA Academic Achievement Award. The Clayton State Department of Athletics saw 22 of its student athletes earn this distinction. The Peach Belt Conference saw 702 from eight of its 11 institutions.
Of the 22 selections, which is the most in the last five years, men's soccer, women's basketball, and women's soccer lead the department with five selections apiece. Men's basketball follows close behind with three selections while women's and men's track and field and men's and women's cross country each saw one student athlete.

ABOUT THE AWARD:
Overall, a total of 21,000-plus student-athletes were recognized by 179 institutions for the 2025-26 Academic Achievement Awards. Historically, 211,256 total student-athletes have been recognized since the inception of the awards program, which began 19 years ago. For a student athlete to be eligible for this award, the student athlete must boast a 3.5 GPA, attend at least four semesters of college, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during the last academic year.
