AUGUSTA,Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced on Monday its selections for their weekly men's soccer Players of the Week. Clayton State University men's soccer player
Gonzalo LaChica was selected as the league's Player of the Week.
This comes off the heels of a fantastic week for LaChica. The senior forward scored the lone goal in the 2-1 loss on Saturday against #7 Tampa. He scored the goal on a beautiful cross from
Camilo Velez, and he headed the ball in for a goal. Gonzalo also knocked in a goal in the 3-0 victory against Converse on Wednesday evening.
This season, LaChica is the only Laker to have more than two goals, and he also leads the team with five points and nine shots. The Lakers (1-2-1) travel to play USC Aiken on Wednesday, September 17
th at 4:30 p.m. to open PBC play.
