AUGUSTA. Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced on Friday afternoon the selections for the 2025 Men's Soccer All-Conference teams.  The Clayton State University men's soccer team was represented across the two teams. 
 
Forward Gonzalo LaChica was recognized as a first-team selection while midfielder Camilo Velez and defender Othmane Chagour were selected to the second team.  LaChica and Velez earned their first career All-PBC accolade while Chagour is a second time earner. 
 
A native of Malaga, Spain, Gonzalo LaChica had a solid season for the Lakers.  The Laker forward knocked in six goals and added six assists.  He also notched 18 points.  His six goals are good for fourth in the league and his six assists, and 18 points are fifth in the conference.  LaChica led the conference with 45 shot attempts.  Gonzalo notched at least one point in 10 of 16 matches played. 
 
A native of Peachtree City, Ga., Camilo Velez had an outstanding season for the Lakers.  In 18 matches, Camilo knocked in a pair of goals and notched a team-leading and PBC third-best seven assists.  He also attempted a team second-best 28 shots and tallied 11 points.  In just 48 minutes of play against GSW on October 8^th, Velez notched a pair of assists, marking the first time he assisted on multiple goals this season.
 
A native of Casablanca, Morocco, Chagour had another solid season for the Lakers.  In 17 matches, Othmane scored a goal and attempted seven shots.  His defensive unit was one of the best in the Peach Belt as his crew conceded less than two goals in 14 of 18 matches played this season including pitching five shutouts.  Opponents are only scoring 1.56 goals a match.
