KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) unveiled its 2025 Division II Men's Soccer All-Southeast Region teams on Thursday. Clayton State University men's soccer forward Gonzalo. LaChica was honored as a first-team selection for the first time in his career.
The Lakers have seen an All-Region selection in every season since 2017 and the Peach Belt Conference dominated the list with 12 selections across two teams. The coaches of United Soccer Coaches vote and nominate for this award.
LaChica had a great season for the Lakers. The Laker forward knocked in six goals and added six assists. He also notched 18 points. His six goals are good for fourth in the league and his six assists, and 18 points are fifth in the conference. LaChica led the conference with 50 shot attempts. Gonzalo notched at least one point in 11 of 19 matches played.
