ATLANTA – The Clayton State University track & field teams are set to compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Lakers are looking to make a final push in preparation for the conference meet on April 28
th & 29
th.

The Lakers are led by
Davonte Jackson and
Camron Gaddis on the men's team while
Cayla Brown,
Payton Knowles, and
Ziona Harris lead the women's team into competition. Davonte is currently second in the PBC in the 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles. He is also fourth in the long jump and in the triple jump. Gaddis leads the Lakers in the distance races as he is 10
th in the 800m and ninth in the 1500m.
On the women's side, Brown holds the fastest time in the 200m this season (24.92) and is the only women to go sub 25 seconds in the race. Cayla also holds the fifth fastest time in the 100m. Knowles, who is a freshman hailing from The Bahamas, currently sits in 6
th place in the 100m and is ninth in the 200m. In addition, Harris holds eighth fastest time in the 200m and is fourth quickest in the 400m.
Destiny Hanna is also competing in the meet as she is running in the 100m & 200m dashes.
