Men's Cross Country | October 11, 2025
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Clayton State University cross country teams competed in its final tune up before the PBC Championships in a few weeks at a stacked UAH Charger XC Invitational on Saturday Morning.
MEN'S SIDE
The Lakers were led by their senior standout
Camron Gaddis. Gaddis finished in 51
st with a time of 25:39.7, which not only a new PR but moves him into 10
th place all-time in program history. This is the second straight week that Camron has moved up in the record books. Following Gaddis is
Emanuel Dixon and
James Morrow. Dixon finished with a new PR with a time of 26:35.8 which is 22
nd fastest time in program history. Morrow rounded out the top three on the team with a time of 26:40.3.
Mykell Strickland and
Dion Dial round out the top five finishers for the Lakers. Strickland crossed the finish line cruising to a new PR with a time of 27:01.1. Dial then finished with a time of 27:16.4, which is good for a new PR.
Nehemiah Horton and
Abubakr Jallow rounded out the Clayton State runners with times of 27:32.5 and 28:28.0, respectively. Both are good for new PRs.
The Lakers finished in 16
th overall with 403 points. Anderson won the meet while the University of Charleston took second.

WOMEN'S SIDE
The Lakers, who ran in the 6K race, were led by
Jada Warren. The Laker senior standout ran a final time of 23:49.7, which is good for 18
th all-time in program history and a new PR in the race. Following behind was
Ivorie Smith and
Ahlana Failey. Smith clocked a final time of 25:16.9 while Failey finished with a time of 25:56.5, which are both good for new PRs.
Maleena Castillo and
Marley Tate round out the top five for the Lakers. Castillo, who ran her first 6K of her Laker career, finished with a time of 27:03.0. Tate clocked a final time of 27:06.6.
Rounding out the Laker women's team was
Kalkidan Hawkins and
Amaya Myers. Hawkins set a new PR with a time of 27:07.9 while Myers, like Castillo, ran her first 6K, and finished in 27:32.3.
The Lakers finished in 23
rd as a team while Cedarville won the meet with 18 points. Lee and Nova Southeastern finished in second and third, respectively.

The Lakers compete in the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Championships on Saturday, October 25
th. The women's race is set for 9 a.m. while the men race at 10:15 a.m. The meet is hosted by Georgia College & State University.
