MORROW, Ga. – The United Soccer Coaches came out with their weekly Coaches' Poll on Tuesday afternoon. The Clayton State University men's soccer team jumped two spots to #14 in the poll.
The Lakers had a special week as they went 2-0 defeating North Greenville, 1-0 while also defeating Peach Belt Conference rival Lander, 2-1. Overall, the Lakers have won five straight matches and the defense has only conceded three goals in the winning streak.
Earlier this week, the PBC selected
Geo Rios and
Mauricio Uribe as the Player and Goalkeeper of the Week. As a team, the Lakers lead the conference in various categories such as opposing goals conceded (8), total assists (20), total goals (18), shots (155), corner kicks (61), and save percentage (76.5%).
