Aryton Azcue had a storied history for the Lakers in both cross country and track & field.  During his career, Ayrton holds many school records and top 10 marks in track.  Following the 2011 season, Azcue finished 27th in the PBC XC Championships, leading the team to a 3rd place finish and raced in the Southeast Regional Meet as well. In his track career, Ayrton owns the school record in the outdoor 800m (1:50.46), the indoor 800m (1:50.36) and in the indoor DMR (10:15.47). 

He is currently second in the indoor mile (4:13.85), fourth in the 3K (8:51.07) and in the outdoor 1500m (3:55.90).  Azcue was a two-time All-Conference selection following the 2013 Outdoor championships in the  800m & 1500m runs, was an eight-time Indoor USTFCCCA All-Region, and a five-time Outdoor USTFCCCA All-Region selection.  In addition, Ayrton was a two-time All-American in the 800m run. 

In 2013, he finished as the runner-up in the Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama and finished on the podium in 8th in the Outdoor Championships in Pueblo, Colorado.  Azcue enters the Hall of Fame as one of the most successful runners in Clayton State Track & field history.
