Senior guard Aubrey McRae (Augusta, Ga.) delivered a pair of impressive performances to open the season as he averaged 18.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.

Taking on No. 3 Lincoln Memorial (11/9) he stepped up as he scored 13 points and posted the first double-double of his career with a personal best 12 rebounds. Five of those were offensive and he also added a steal and a block in just 25 minutes.

McRae would be even better as he led the Lakers to a clutch 77-73 victory over Tusculum (11/10). In that game he let loose for 23 points, going 12-of-15 from the line, and hauled in 11 boards in 35 minutes. It marked the second straight game reaching double-figures in rebounding after his previous career-high was seven set last season.
