AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced on Monday afternoon its selections for the Women's Soccer Players of the Week. Clayton State University defender
Lofton Pickett earned this week's Defensive Player of the Week. This is the first such award for Pickett.
Pickett, who is a freshman from Newnan, Ga., led the Lakers on the defensive unit who has not conceded a goal since September 12
th against GCSU. Since then, the Lakers have outscored opponents, 5-0. Pickett played in all 180 minutes last week against USCA and Middle Georgia. Last week, the Lakers were faced with 26 shots and thew defensive unit snuffed out each shot attempt.
The Lakers have pitched three straight shutouts for the first time since September 21
st-October 2
nd, 2024.

The Lakers (5-2-1 (3-1-0 PBC)) step out of the PBC as they travel to the Palmetto State to play Anderson (5-2-1 (3-0-1 SAC)) on Wednesday, September 30
th at 6 p.m.
