AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) unveiled its 2025-26 Indoor Track & Field Coaches' Poll on Friday morning.  The Clayton State University men's and women's track and field teams were picked to finish fourth and both ended up notching 12 points.

Last season, the women's team finished on the podium in third place while the men finished in a modest fifth place.  Both teams return all-conference performers from last season and also welcome a good core of young and energized athletes.  On the men's side, Davonte Jackson, Camron Gaddis, Christian Wiltshire, and Sancho Smith highlight the most impactful returners.  Jackson, who earned the 2024-25 Track & Field Male Field Athlete of the Year, returns after posting four all-conference mentions including the indoor 4x400m relay and the outdoor 400m hurdles and long jump.  Jackson is poised to be another multi-time all-conference and maybe even an All-American selection this season.

Camron Gaddis is coming off on of the best cross country seasons in recent memory as he placed 10th all-time in the 8k and 11th all-time in the 10k.  On the track, Gaddis made huge strides last season as the leading 1500m and mile runner as well as one of the top 800m and DMR runners.  Christian Wiltshire returns as one of the leaders of the jumps core.  Wiltshire was an all-conference performer in the high jump and hit some great marks in the triple and long jump as well.  Sancho Smith also returns as one of the most impactful 400m and 800m runners on the roster.  Also returning this season are the likes of Emanuel Dixon, Rohan Holness, Isaiah Prince-Oyakhire, and James Morrow, who are bound for breakout seasons.  This core group of guys also is joined by newcomers Santonio Rio, Drewmel Banks, Evan Turner, Dan Lamar, and Isaiah Taylor

On the women's side, the Lakers are led by sprinters Destiny Hanna, Ziona Harris, Jada Jenkins, Payton Knowles and Rebecca Oji as well as distance runners Jada Warren, Marley Tate and Ivorie Smith.  All runners mentioned where instrumental in the third place finish in the indoor championships last season, and all were also all-conference mentions.  The sprinting group is in good hands with Hanna, Harris, Jenkins, and Knowles as they will lock down the 60m, 100m, and 200m dashes while the 1500m, 800m, and the 400m will be handled by Tate, Warren, and Smith.  Warren had a very successful cross country season ands will look to follow that up heading into the track season.

This core group of returners will also be supported by newcomers including throwers Hailee Jackson Morgan and Jacquelyn Johnson and as well as sprinters Alexandra Baracco, Mariah Handy, and Asia Swilley
