MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State University women's track & field standout Marley Tate earned this week's Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Women's Track Athlete of the Week.  Tate had a tremendous weekend on the track for the Lakers at the Carolina Classic.

Tate, who is a native of New Albany, Ind., ran the fastest 400m dash time in the conference this season, clocking a time of 57.60.  Her time is also good for third all-time.  In addition, Tate was a part of the 4x400m relay team that recorded the second-best time in the conference with a time of 3:59.16.  That time is also good for second in program history.  This is the first time this season that Tate has earned this distinction.
