MORROW, Ga. – The D2CCA announced on Tuesday afternoon its selections for the Men's Soccer All-America honors. Clayton State University men's soccer player
Alexis Iturria was recognized as a third-team selection.
Iturria the third Laker in program history to be a two-time All-America selection joining
Geo Rios and Alex Dowling. Alexis had quite a season for the Lakers, who reached the Elite Eight for the first time since 2010. This season, Iturria scored six goals and notched 14 assists, which is tied for the third most in the nation. His 14 assists are tied for the third most assists in a single season in program history. Iturria also tallied 26 points, 65 shots, and was second on the team with 1744 minutes played. This season also saw Alexis earn D2CCA First-Team All-Region and first-team All-PBC honors.
Alexis finished his Laker career with 95 points which is tied for the second most in program history, and 36 assists which is the second most in program history. In addition, his 73 games played are the 11
th most in program history and his 72 starts are good for seventh on the all-time list.
