MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State men's and women's track & field program will hit the track Friday in South Carolina for the USC Open.
The meet will conclude the indoor season for the Lakers. The University of South Carolina will host the meet that will consist of schools from NJCAA, NAIA, and NCAA Divisions I, II and III.

Last time out, the Lakers posted solid results at the Sewanee Indoor Invitational.
Led by three wins from
Roderick Winfrey, the men's team collected five total wins in the meet as eight Lakers competed.
Winfrey won the 55m, 200m and the 4x400m relay along with teammates
Titus Hand,
Nigel Roulhac and
Diarra-James Powell-Burgess.
D'Eris Jackson (long jump) and
Darryl Jefferson (triple jump) also had wins.
The women had four wins with
Maya Adams and
Ny'Asia Green leading the way.
Adams had wins in the 55m and 200m while Green captured first in the long and triple jump.
In the 200m, Clayton State earned the top four spots as Adams just beat out
Ariyonna Jones by .03.
The Lakers also had the top three spots in the 55m with
Cayla Brown placing second and
Kassidy Harper taking third.
