MORROW, Ga. – Having won their first three games of the season for just the fourth time in program history, Clayton State (3-0, 0-0 PBC) women's soccer looks to tie the program record for wins to open a season as they host Queens (3-1, 0-0 SAC) in non-conference action on Sunday, September 15. Game time is slated for 1 p.m. at Laker Field.
 
The Lakers have tied the opening marks of the 2012 and 2016 squads and will look to tie the 2004 team that opened 4-0 on their way to an NCAA Division II Tournament berth.
 
The all-time series against Queens dates back only to the first meeting on October 18, 2010 in Morrow and sees Clayton State holding a narrow 3-2 margin. The Royals took that first game 3-1 before dropping a 4-0 decision in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 2, 2012. The latter would be the first of three straight years where the teams would meet.
 
The Lakers continued to have no luck against QUC at home, falling 2-1 on September 7, 2013 but have since righted the ship in the last two meetings, both by shutout. They earned a 3-0 decision on September 15, 2014 and secured a 2-0 win in the team's last meeting on September 1, 2015.
