The Lakers finish their season 7-6-4.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.  – The Clayton State University women's soccer team traveled to play Georgia College in the Quarterfinals of the 2026 Peach Belt Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon.   The Lakers bowed out of the Tournament and ended their season losing, 3-0.

The Lakers were stifled offensively in the first half.  Georgia College jumped on the scoreboard for three goals in the half as they knocked in goals in the 8th, 17th, and in the 44th minute.  The Lakers only were able to muster four shots on the half and put a pair on net.  Regan Riddle's shot in the 6th minute and Jessica Fidhi's shot in the 13th minute were the only major opportunities for the Lakers.

Halftime: #4 GCSU 3, #5 Clayton State 0

Neither team could muster any offense in the second half combining for four shots.  Claire Smith came into the match and made a save for the Lakers.  Lofton Pickett and Fidhi attempted shots for the Lakers but both were not on frame.  Despite four corner balls for the Bobcats, they could not add to their lead.

The Lakers saw their season come to an end as they fell, 3-0, on Saturday.  Clayton State finished their season 7-6-4.  The Clayton State Department of Athletics wishes nothing but the best to the seniors as they move forward in their careers.
