Clayton State Wraps Up 2019 Behind Czerniak and White at NCAA Division II Southeast Region Championship

WINGATE, N.C. – Clayton State men's cross country wrapped up the 2019 season as they placed 18-of-24 at the NCAA Southeast Region Championship on Saturday, November 9. As team they produced 524 points.
 
Junior Zach Czerniak (Suwanee, Ga.) led the Lakers with a 77-of-157 finish as he covered the 10k distance in a time of 34:47.90 while redshirt-sophomore Courtland White (Rex, Ga.) was 83rd at 35:07.40.
 
They were joined by freshman Javier Castillo (Forest Park, Ga.) at 107 (36:13.90), junior Andre' Thompson, Jr. (Stockbridge, Ga.) in 129th (37:48.90) and junior Na'im Allen (McDonough, Ga.) at 138th (38:32.50).
 
Clayton State brings to a close a 2019 season that saw them compete in seven meets, reach the NCAA Regional for a 22nd straight year and compete in their first home meet since 2001.
