Forest Park High School: Competed in cross country all fours years and track & field for final three seasons for the Panthers … following a freshman cross country campaign that was his first experience running, qualified for Georgia High School Association (GHSA) State Championships as a sophomore and junior … posted personal best of 17:01 at Clayton County Championships, finishing third overall in the latter season … qualified for GHSA Sectionals in track & field in just second season competing, that being as a junior … excelled as a senior, winning the Clayton County Cross Country Championship, taking third at the GHSA Region Championship and qualifying for the state championship … in track & field that season, won the 1,600- and 3,200-meters at the Clayton County Championships … qualified for regionals in both events, finishing second in both with a time of 4:42.00 in the 1,600-meters and 10:26 in the 3,200-meters … those times were good enough to make Sectionals and qualified for the state meet in the 1,600-meters.
