SMITHS STATION, Ala. – In what has become a regular occurrence, senior
Ariel Boyd-Ghani (Morrow, Ga.) once again led Clayton State women's cross country as the team finished 3-of-4 at the Cougar Classic on Saturday, October 20. As a team they finished with 61 points behind Columbus State (23) and Life (54).
Boyd-Ghani posted a time of 19:48.63 to earn a 4-of-27 finish while sophomore
Na'ilah Allen (McDonough, Ga.) was right behind her in fifth with a mark of 20:15.27. Senior
Lynnet Kosgei (Eldoret, Kenya) posted a 10
th place finish (20:46.46) and freshman
Stephanie Escobar (Forest Park, Ga.) was 20
th (22:17.26). Asia Love rounded things out in 27
th with a time of 25:42.66 in her first collegiate cross country race.
With today being their final tune up, Clayton State will be off until the 2018 Peach Belt Conference Championship on Saturday, November 3. That meet will be a 5k hosted by Augusta and will be run in Beech Island, South Carolina.
