Junior Carla Catala (Barcelona, Spain) kicked off the 2017 campaign in fine fashion as the Lakers top finisher at the VSU Border Clash on Friday, September 1. Taking on a field of 82 she ran a time of 19:46.30 to place 12th overall. that time also positioned her as the fourth highest finishing Peach Belt Conference runner.
