Sophomore forward Ricardo Saams, Jr. (Miramar, Fla.) delivered an impressive week with averages of 20.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists while averaging 34.5 minutes over a pair of contests. He also shot .654 (17-of-26) from the field.
The first of those would come at Young Harris (1/8) where he registered career-highs of 24 points and five assists while equaling his rebounding personal best with 11 caroms, all of which came in 36 minutes. On the night he shot 10-of-15 from the field (.667).
Saams, Jr. would follow that with another strong effort, this time against league leading USC Aiken (1/11). In that one he hit on 7-of-11 shots for 17 points and hauled in six boards with an assist and steal for good measure.
