Women's Soccer | July 30, 2026

MORROW, Ga. – Head Clayton State University women's soccer coach Ricky Clarke announces on Thursday afternoon the newcoming class of women's soccer players for the 2026 season.  This class includes 17 players from three different states and five different countries. 
 
COACH CLARKE THOUGHTS
"With this newcomer class, we set out to find outstanding individuals who align with our programs values, and I believe we did exactly that," said Clarke. "These are proven players who are also exciting to watch, and they're stepping into a program with a strong foundation already in place. Our returning players are the epicenter of the culture we built last spring and fall, and this group is ready to build on it." 
 
FORWARDS

             

Coach Clarke welcomes five new forwards for the upcoming season.  Highlighting this group is Ellie Barrett and Jael Bruhlmeier.  Barrett, who is a native of Essex, England, transferred from Pellissippi State CC, where she knocked in six goals and added four assists in her only season.  She also led her team to a Region VII Tournament Championship match. In her freshman season, Barrett also played 11 matches at North Idaho College where she scored three goals.  A native of Switzerland, Jael Bruhlmeier arrives in Morrow after a successful JUCO career at Hawkeye CC where scored 24 goals and added 17 assists in 31 matches.  In addition, she was awarded the ICCAC Freshman of the Year and was an ICCAC All-Conference honorable mention.  
 

                    

Gabrielle Worthy, Miu Kamei, and Madysen Fraser wrap up the forward newcomers.  Worthy, who transferred from LaGrange College, knocked in a team-best seven goals in her freshman season.  In addition, she finished in a tie for second on the team with 36 shots.  In high school, Worthy was selected as an All-State and All-Region selection as a senior and was voted the Offensive Player of the Year.  Kamei, who is a native of Japan, spent her time before Clayton State at Iowa Lakes CC where she played in 20 matches and scored six goals, adding a pair of assists.  Kamei also received second team All-Region honors and helped her team to runners-up finish at the NJCAA National Championship. 
 
Fraser rounds out the forwards.  Madysen, who is a native of Atlanta, transferred from Albany State University where she played in 11 matches and was only one of nine players to amass 1,000 minutes played.  Fraser attended the Elite Scholars Academy where she was selected as a four-time MVP and earned first-team All-region honors as a junior and All-State honors as a senior.  These five newcomers are joined by an elite unit of forwards that include Aniyah Vargas, Karley Perry, and Dayla Ayayda. 
 
MIDFIELDERS


         

Coach Clarke welcomes seven newcomers to the midfielder position.  Holly Jones and Jessica Fidhi highlight this class of newcomers.  A native of Liverpool, England, Holly Jones arrives to Morrow after putting up a pair of stellar seasons at Pearl River CC.  There, Jones fired in 11 goals and notched 18 assists in 30 matches.  As a freshman, Jones notched 13 assists, which was eighth in the nation.  Jones was also a two-time all-conference mention. A native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Fidhi arrives to Clayton State from Georgia State.  While in high school, Jessica was named the MVP and Athlete of the Year on her Futsol team as a senior.
 

          

Ninni Ringstad and Malaya Davis follow Jones and Fidhi.   A native of Norway, Ringstad transferred from St. Thomas Aquinas College in New York.  While there, Ninni scored a pair of goals and notched a pair of assists in 30 matches.  During her freshman season, Ringstad launched 46 shots.  At the conclusion of her sophomore season, Ninni was awarded the CSC Academic All-District honor.  Davis, who is a freshman from Satellite Beach, Fla. attended St. Mary's Shuttuck in Minnesota, where she played with ladies from three different countries and eight different states.  There, she led her team to a pair of District and Conference Championships. 
 

                     

Rounding out the newcomers are Nayley Bonilla, Alania James, and Emily Sanchez-Rodriguez.  While at Locust Grove HS, Bonilla scored 83 goals in 42 career matches.  As a junior, she earned the HCS Athlete of the Year.  Over the course of her career, she led her team to the GHSA Playoffs in all four seasons.  While in high school, she was involved with the Spanish National Honors Society and Student Council while also completing over 100 hours of community service.  Alania James arrived at Clayton State after spending last two seasons at Albany State.  She only played in 16 matches and logged 574 matches.  Emily Sanchez-Rodriguez rounds out the newcomers for the defender position.  Sanchez-Rodriguez played on the varsity team at South Gwinnett for the past four seasons where she captained the team as a junior and senior.  During her career, she scored 28 goals and notched 50 assists.  She scored 19 goals as a junior, which was first in her region.  Emily was also a three-time All-Region and two-time All-County selection.  This crop of newcomers is joined by returners Brook Wells, Reagan Miller, and Laila Ortiz-Nolan. 
 
DEFENDERS & GOALKEEPERS

        

Coach Clarke welcomes four defenders as well as one goalkeeper to the team for the 2026 season.  Highlighting the defender position is Lofton Pickett and Aubrey McBeath.  Lofton, who is a native of Newnan, comes to Clayton State from Northgate HS.  While in high school, Pickett was a four-team All-Region selection, earning second team as a freshman and sophomore and first team as a junior and senior.  She was also honored as the Defender of the Year as a junior.  McBeath, who attended Etowah HS, played on the team in all four seasons.  During her time, she led her team to three double-digit winning seasons. She was also a track athlete for three seasons, breaking the school's 4x100m and 4x200m relay records. 
 

       

These two players are joined by transfers Regan Riddle and Natasha Goodwin.  Riddle, who is a native of Plantation, Fla., played in 25 matches for Daytona State CC where she is a two-time NJCCA National Champion.  During her sophomore season, Riddle and the defensive unit finished the season 20-0, pitching 14 shutouts, and outscoring opponents 33-2 in the National Tournament.  Following her time, she was a two-time NJCCA All-Academic selection.  Goodwin transferred from TAMU-International and Mineral Area CC.  Natasha was only at TAMU-International for one season and spent the prior two at Mineral Area CC.  There, she played and started in 30 matches and knocked in three goals and dished out three assists.  Goodwin was a two-time MCCAC All-Conference selection as well as a NJCAA first team All-Region selection. 
 


Coach Clarke welcomes Emory Kennett as a newcomer in goal.  Kennett, who is a freshman from Atlanta, attended Lakeside HS for four seasons.  In her senior season, Kennett earned second team All-Region.  Emory played club ball at the Gwinnett Soccer Academy.  She joins a loaded goalkeeping room that includes Claire Smith and Rubie Kelley.
