Men's Basketball | September 30, 2025

MORROW, Ga. – Head Clayton State University men's basketball coach Vince Alexander announces its 2025-26 schedule on Tuesday afternoon.  The schedule features 14 home and away matchups.  The schedule also features five teams who made the 2025 NCAA DII Men's Basketball Championship last season. 
 
The Lakers kick off their 2025-26 season in an exhibition game against the LDC Ignite on Wednesday, November 5^th at 7 p.m. inside the Loch.  Clayton State then opens its regular season on Friday, November 14^th and Saturday, November 15^th playing in the Conference Challenge.  The Lakers play Tusculum on Friday and play Lenoir-Rhyne, who reached the Elite Eight last season.  Clayton State then hosts West Florida and NCAA Tournament qualifiers Columbus State and Catawba in the Clayton State Classic inside the Loch on Friday, November 21^st and Saturday, November 22^nd.  The Lakers play West Florida on Friday evening and Catawba on Saturday afternoon. 
 
After trips to Miles on November 25^th and Young Harris on November 29^th, the Lakers open their Peach Belt Conference slate on Wednesday, December 3^rd at Georgia College.  The Lakers then return to the Loch on Saturday, December 6^th and play North Georgia at 8 p.m.  Coach Alexander's squad then hits the road again for two of their next three games making trips to Lander on December 10^th and Georgia Southwestern on December 17^th.  During that stretch, the Lakers will host Columbus State on Saturday, December 13^th.  The Lakers then are home for four of the next five games hosting Lane on December 19^th, Anderson on the 31^st, USC Beaufort on January 3^rd and Middle Georgia State on January 10^th. 
 
After a stop in Aiken, S.C. on January 17^th, the Lakers welcome Flagler on the 20^th, Georgia College on the 24^th, and Lander on the 28^th.  After a stop in Dahlonega to play North Georgia on the 31^st, the Lakers have a road heavy schedule in February with stops at Columbus State on the 7^th, Middle Georgia on the 11^th, and finish out the road slate at USC Beaufort and Flagler on the 21^st and 25^th respectively.  Clayton State hosts Georgia Southwestern on the 4^th, Augusta on the 18^th, and USC Aiken for Homecoming and Senior Day on the 28^th.
