MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State University women's soccer player Elisabet Isleifsdottir was recognized by the College of Information and Mathematical Sciences at its annual symposium this week. 
 
Isleifsdottir earned the prestigious Outstanding Rising Senior Award.  This award is presented to the outstanding Mathematics student who has excelled academically in their major coursework.  To be considered for this award, the student must be nominated by a Mathematics faculty member.  Elisabet is no stranger to racking up awards as she was awarded the Billy R. Nail Math Scholarship last year. 
 
Majoring in Math & Integrative Studies with a focus in Pre-Engineering, Isleifsdottir also has earned her fair share of academic accomplishments including being a two-time recipient of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll and earned PBC Team of Academic Distinction honors in 2023.  On the field, Elisabet has played in 16 matches in three seconds and has dished out one assist.
