DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Clayton State University women's basketball team concluded its regular season traveling to play #9 North Georgia on Saturday afternoon. The Lakers drop this contest, 92-67.
The beginning of the first quarter saw Ky'leo Worriels and
Armani Shaw open up the scoring for the Lakers making the score, 8-6. The Nighthawks then started distancing themselves from the Lakers and jumped out to a 22-6 lead after going on a 14-0 run.
Jadah Waite buried a three to end the run. UNG led, 27-12 after one quarter. The Nighthawks continued to pace the game going into the second quarter and led early, 33-13.
The Lakers showed a little lift in the final moments of the quarter as
Jasmyn Burts and Waite knocked in baskets. However, North Georgia took a commanding, 44-26 lead going into the halftime break. Waite led the Lakers with eight points and Burts led the team with four boards.

The Nighthawks dominated the third quarter putting up 29 points to only 19 by the Lakers.
Ky'Leo Worriels made three field goals while Shaw and
Jada Alston knocked down threes. The score read, 73-45 going into the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter started with Alston and
Sariya Henry making back-to-back field goals and made the score, 73-49. The Lakers saw
Kyla Greene and Waite make field goals in the final two minutes of the game but UNG put up too much offense as they won the game, 92-67.

The Lakers (10-18 (7-11 PBC)) will await seeding for the 2025 PBC Women's Basketball Tournament which will be announced on Sunday by the conference office.
