MORROW, Ga. -- Jadah Waite scored her 1,000th career point vs. Flagler College at home, on Saturday, January 18th, marking a significant milestone that will go down in Clayton State women's basketball history. Beside her current associate coach, Brittany Hall, Waite enters the record books, As Jadah said, "getting coached by her is both a blessing and a humble experience, while also sharing a record with her." With eight games left on the schedule, Jadah, who is now ranked seventh in Clayton State history in career points, will climb higher in the record books.

Jadah has played a significant role on the Clayton State women's basketball team since arriving in 2020-21 season. Given that she hails from Brooklyn, New York, which is thought to generate the top basketball players, it seems sense that she is a natural scorer. Her dedication to the game and the daily work she has done are demonstrated by the fact that she reached 1,000 points. Every year, Jadah has become a better player overall. She has made progress in a few areas along the way, saying that "her path to success is trusting her teammates and remaining humble."

Jadah currently has 124 three-pointers and 126 steals, but she could hit two more milestones: 150 three-pointers and 150 steals. With eight games left, she can easily breakthrough. For the rest of the season, the Laker community is eager to witness more incredible performances from Jadah and the Lakers. Congratulations on hitting the 1,000-point career milestone, Jadah. Go, Lakers!

The Lakers play at Augusta University this evening at 5:30 p.m.  The Lakers are looking for the season sweep of the Jaguars!
