SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Clayton State University men's basketball team suffered a 71-62 road loss at. Flagler College on Saturday afternoon.
The Lakers and Saints traded the first 16 points of the game saw the score deadlocked at eight.
Lay Davis scored four of the eight points for the Lakers. At the score, 10-8, the Saints went on a 10-3 run and led 18-11. The Lakers then responded with a dunk by
Yannis Woods and a layup by
Mason Pierre to cut the lead down to three at 18-15. The Saints led by as much as 10 in the half and jumped out to a 36-28 lead going into the halftime break. Woods tossed in six of the final eight points for the Lakers.

Flagler extended their lead in the early-going of the half to 11 at 43-32 but the Lakers saw a pair of three-pointers from
Christian Chambers and a dunk by Woods and suddenly, the Saint lead was down to three at 43-40. At the score, 46-42, the Saints continued to pace play and went on an 11-4 run and led, 57-46.
Jamall Clyce hit a pair of jumpers on the run.
The Saints led by as much as 15 in the second half and the Lakers were unable to overcome that deficit and fell to Flagler, 71-62.
Aaron Pitts scored the final five points in the final moments of the game.
