Morrow, GA--- The Clayton State University Men's Basketball team suffered a 73-62 loss to Anderson University inside The Loch on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lakers were able to score the first point of the game with a free throw made by
Eddie Page but the Trojans responded with the first basket of the game. Joe Thomas saw the first basket go in with a layup followed by two made baskets by
Andre Young. As the first half continued, both teams traded made baskets and were able to capitalize off missed baskets and forced turnovers. Closing out the first half, it was the Lakers who saw the 33-30 lead.
Halftime: Clayton State 33, Anderson 30
The Lakers got the scoring going in the second half with a good dunk by Page. The Trojans responded with a 3 pointer but the Lakers responded to that 3 pointer with one of their own by
DJ Wright. The game continued to stay close as the half went on but the Trojans started to see their lead grow as they were able to grab tough rebounds and forced fouls from the Lakers. Although the small lead grew for the Trojans, the Lakers never lost effort. Ultimately, it was the Trojans who were able to maintain the lead resulting in a loss for the Lakers 73-62.
