SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Clayton State University men's soccer team traveled down to Florida to play Flagler College on Saturday afternoon. The Lakers ultimately dropped a 3-1 decision to the Saints.
The Lakers put the early pressure on Flagler. In the 12
th minute,
Camilo Velez found
Andree Jimenez for the match's first goal and made the score, 1-0. About four minutes later, the Lakers let in an own goal and made the score, 1-1. That score would hold true going into the halftime break.
Charlie Longino,
Gonzalo LaChica,
Jonas Koller, and
Fabian Wagner all fired in shots for the Lakers in the half. The Lakers outshot the Saints, 9-3 in the half.

The tides turned in the second half as Flagler put more pressure on
George Roke and the Laker defensive unit sending in six of the 10 shots in the half. The Saints saw half of their shots come in the first seven minutes. Flagler took the lead in the 67
th minute and tacked on another in the 81
st minute to go up, 3-1.
Despite shot attempts by Longino and LaChica down the stretch, the Saints sweep the season series winning, 3-1.
