MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State University cross country runner
Camron Gaddis was honored by the USTFCCCA and placed on the 2024 NCAA DII Cross Country All-Academic team. The organization announced its selections on Thursday.
Gaddis is one of seven Peach Belt Conference (PBC) athletes that made the list. This is the first such award for Camron. This season was a special one for Gaddis as he placed first on the team in all six races including placing 66
th at the DII SE Regional meet with a time of 33:17.5. That time is good for the 11
th best time in program history. In addition, Gaddis ran the 13
th fastest time in program history at the Royals XC Challenge, clocking a time of 26:11.9. This season saw Camron bring home four top-25 finishes and placed 24
th at the PBC Championships which is the best finish at a conference meet since 2016.

ABOUT THE AWARD
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
