MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State University women's basketball team welcomed the Bobcats of Georgia College & State University to the Loch on Wednesday evening.  The Lakers bounced back after a loss last Saturday and took down the Bobcats, 73-50. 
 
The Lakers saw early production from 
Jadah Waite, 
Nina Blade, and 
Tamaria White to start the first quarter. The score was 15-9, Lakers.  Waite hit a three and added a pair of jumpers. 
Jasmyn Burts and 
Hannah Wright added field goals towards the end of the quarter as the Lakers pulled in front, 19-9 going into the second quarter. 
 
Georgia College started the second quarter scoring the first four points and then the Lakers went to work.  
Aaliyah Reid then converted a three-point play and Waite buried a field goal and moved the score to 24-13. 
 
The Lakers saw 
Devyne Turner hit a three and White and Waite hit shots towards the end of the half as Clayton State pulled ahead, 32-22 going into the halftime break.

The third quarter started with 
Deborrah Redmon and Blade making field goals and moved the score to 36-24.  The Bobcats then went on a 7-0 run and closed the gap to 36-31.  Burts then drained a three and extended the Laker lead back to eight at 39-31.  The Lakers then saw three-pointers from Waite and Alston and made the score, 48-38.  Clayton State led Georgia College, 56-40 going into the fourth quarter. 
 
The fourth quarter saw the Lakers take over offensively as they outscored the Bobcats, 17-10.  Waite shot through a three and 
Sariya Henry made a field goal to start the quarter and the score moved to 61-40.  At the score, 66-45, the Lakers went on a 9-2 run and led, 73-47. 
 
The Lakers went onto win the game over Georgia College, 73-50.
