AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced on Wednesday it Preseason All-Conference and rankings. After placing second last season, the Lakers were chosen to finish in tied for fourth place. North Georgia was picked to win the conference, accumulating eight of 10 first-place votes.
Although the Lakers did not have a Preseason All-Conference pick, Coach Coleman brings back some key pieces from last year's team. The returners are headlined by
Hannah Wright and
Jadah Waite. Also returning to the team is
Shakira Patterson,
Devyne Turner, and
Jasmyn Burts. Burts, who is in her sophomore season, saw the best numbers from last season, as she averaged 13.3 minutes a game and notched three games of double-digit scoring. Coach Coleman also welcomes eight transfers and one freshman.

The Lakers open their 2023-24 season as they host the PBC/SAC Challenge on Friday, November 10
th and Saturday, November 11
th. The Lakers play UVA Wise on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Anderson on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
