Amiah Sprunger-Hightower has scored a goal in five straight matches

AMERICUS, Ga. – The Clayton State University women's soccer team traveled to Hurricane country to Play Georgia Southwestern in a Wednesday evening Peach Belt Conference showdown.  The Hurricanes defeated the Lakers, 2-1.

The Hurricanes took a 1-0 lead after a Clayton State own goal in the 5th minute.  That was all the scoring in the half for both teams.  However, the Lakers had a couple of good chances in the later part of the half as Amiah Sprunger-Hightower and Serwaah Danso put shots on net, but they were stopped by the GSW keeper.
