AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference announced on Wednesday morning its selections for the Team of Academic Distinction (TOAD) for women's soccer. Clayton State University saw five players that gathered this honor.
Luise Dominck,
Ida Ditlevsen,
Reia Henry,
Nyeemah Lucky, and
Kamila Mroziewicz all were recognized with this academic honor. Domnick leads all Laker selections as a three-time honoree while Mroziewicz, Henry, and Ditlevsen earned their second straight. Lucky was selected to this accolade for the first time in her career.
Majoring in Business Management, Domnick tied the school-record notching four assists against Albany State. Domnick, on the season, led the Lakers with five assists in 13 matches played. Domnick can this accolade to her resume that includes a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District nod that she earned earlier this year. Majoring in Psychology, Ditlevsen played in nine matches and tallied a pair of assists. Ditlevsen was also the recipient of the Laker Award in 2021.
Majoring in Health and Fitness Management, Henry played in 12 matches and scored a goal against Georgia Southwestern on October 12
th. She also made the PBC Presidential Honor Roll in 2020. Majoring in Film Production, Lucky earned her first PBC TOAD selection. The Atlanta, Ga. native scored three goals and notched six points in 15 matches played. Majoring in General Business, Mroziewicz rounds out the TOAD recipients for the Lakers. The Zagan, Poland native saw action in 14 matches, scored three goals and added a pair of assists. Mroziewicz can add this honor to her resume that includes a CSC Academic All-District nod earlier this year.
About the Distinction
The team is a part of the PBC's larger initiative to celebrate the academic achievements of PBC student-athletes and is modeled on the CSC (College Sports Communicators) Academic All-America program.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee the program.
