CARROLLTON, Ga. – The Clayton State men's cross country team traveled to compete in the University of West Georgia Coach Gary Wilson Invitational on Saturday morning. As a team, the Lakers finished in fourth place with 84 points.
Leading the charge for the Lakers was freshman
Rakiem Barnes. Barnes finished in 11
th place with a time of 28:42.19.
Camron Gaddis followed Barnes, finishing in 12
th place with at time of 28:42.46. Finishing in 18
th place was
Terry Mitchner. The Laker freshman crossed the finish line in 29:17.02.
Darryl Jefferson rounded out the Lakers in the top-20 as he finished his 8k race in 29:31.78. Jefferson finished in 20
th place.
Lance Little,
Sancho Smith, and
Nigel Collins all finished in the top-40 as the Lakers finished, as a team, in fourth place.
