WESTLAKE, Ohio – The Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) announced on Tuesday afternoon its recipients for the 2021-22 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards.  Clayton State University saw 17 of their student-athletes receive recognition for this award. 
 
Clayton State was one of seven Peach Belt Conference (PBC) institutions to have at least one selection on the list.  The list consists of six women's soccer players, three men's soccer players, three women's cross country runners, two women's track and field athletes and one represented from men's basketball, men's track and field, and men's golf.  Of the 17 honorees, 11 have been selected in multiple years while six are first-time selections.

To be considered for this achievement, the student-athlete must possess a GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have completed a minimum of two years (four semester) of college work.  In addition, the student-athlete must be an active member of their intercollegiate team during his/her academic year.
