MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State University track & field and cross country standout
Nehemiah Horton was selected to represent Clayton State and the Peach Belt Conference at the 2025 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum. Horton is the first Laker to be featured at this four-day leadership forum since women's basketball standout Jada Moss in 2023.
Nehemiah, a junior from Lumberton, N.C., joins 300+ student athletes, administrators, and coaches in Dallas, Texas from November 20
th to the 23
rd for a four-day leadership forum. The four-day event will feature high-energy leadership workshops, insightful keynote speakers, conversations about growth, grit, and resilience, and team-based challenges and simulations.
Horton is a very successful Laker track and cross country student athlete. His accomplishments include being a two-time Indoor All-Conference finisher in the DMR and being a two-time honoree of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll. Along with his standout performance on the track and on the cross country course, Nehemiah is active in the CSU Athletics SAAC and is actively involved in Residential life on campus.
