MORROW, Ga. – In conjunction with iTHINK Financial, the Clayton State Department of Athletics has announced its Community Service Project of the Month for February 2022.
On February 10, the women's soccer team partnered with Habitat for Humanity to help with the construction of a family home in Hampton, Ga.
The student-athletes, along with Head Coach Ross Henderson, helped construct the frame of the house with other volunteers.
"It is important to our team that we are active within our community and making sure we are giving back whenever we can," Henderson said. "We are a team that represents many different countries, speaks many different languages and come from many different cultures, so it's important to us that we can be united in our approach to community at Clayton State and surrounding areas.
"We thoroughly enjoyed the house building project and thank Habitat for Humanity for giving us this opportunity."
