MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State men's soccer team hosted the Saints of Flagler College on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon at Laker Field. The two teams drew, 1-1.
Neither team was able to break the scoring column in the first half but both teams had some great opportunities. The Saints put the pressure on the Lakers in the majority of the first half as they outshot Clayton State, 7-4. The best opportunity for the Lakers came off the foot of
Langston Blackstock, who fired a cross-shot just wide of the net, in the 43
rd minute. The two teams took a 0-0 tie into the locker room.
Halftime: Clayton State 0, Flagler 0
The Saints started the second half strong and recorded the match's first goal. In the 52
nd minute, off a foul in the box by the Lakers, Flagler converted a penalty kick to make the score 1-0. The Saints kept the Lakers at bay until the 74

John Michael Torres kicked the ball in the box and found
Felix Nichols who scored his first goal of the season deadlocking the match at one goal aside.
Isaac Pimenta and Blackstock both had great opportunities to score, later in the half, but the Lakers and Saints settled for a 1-1 draw.
