Boxscore COLUMBUS, Ga. – The eight-seeded Clayton State women's soccer team traveled to play the top-seeded and No. 4 ranked Columbus State Couguars in the Quarterfinals of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon. The Cougars ended the Lakers' season as they won, 5-0.
The Cougars put the pressure on Trinity Chastain and the Laker defense all half. In the first 10 minutes of the half, the Cougars notched six shots in the first 10 minutes. In the middle of the half, Chastain made four saves until Columbus State broke open the scoring. In the 30
th minute, off a corner kick, the Cougars scored their first goal of the half and led, 1-0. The Cougars then added a penalty goal in the 32
nd minute and led, 2-0.
Felicia Wallin and Frederikke Troldborg notched shots-on-frame in the final five minutes of the half as the Lakers trail, 2-0, at the half. The Cougars have outshot the Lakers, 20-3, in the half and Chastain made six saves.

The Lakers felt the pressure early from Columbus State in the second half. The Cougars tallied five shots in the first ten minutes and found the back of the net in the 58
th minute and led, 3-0. The Lakers kept hanging in there with the Cougars, but Columbus State scored again in the 74
th minute and made the score, 4-0.
The Cougars added another goal with a little under three minutes to play as the Lakers concluded their season falling in the PBC Quarterfinals, 5-0.
