MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Clayton State men's basketball team dropped a 63-54 contest on the road Saturday at Georgia College.
The Lakers managed 16 points in the first half trailing 26-16 at the break. The Bobcats led by as many as 20 with 2:30 remaining in the game, but Clayton State continued to claw back.
In the second half, the Lakers cut the lead to as few as six trailing 42-36, but Georgia College went on a 15-2 run to separate themselves.
Jalen Shaw led the way for the Lakers with 22 points and 18 rebounds while
Xavier Joyner added 12 points. Joyner's 12 all came from deep shots as he was 4-for-7 from 3-point range.
